Thanks to the independent innovation and the creation of China, our new energy automatic workover equipment research and development road can be more and more broad. Since 2019, with the vision of reducing the labor intensity of workers and the green development of workover equipment, we have embarked on the research and development of full-electric drive automatic workover equipment in order to solve practical problems on the site. In the future, we will anchor the digital development direction of electric automation, continue to consolidate the technical foundation, break through the technical bottlenecks of workover operations and pressure automation operations, and continue to lead the innovative development of new energy automatic workover equipment, so that China can create and improve the content of new, value and green.
On 25 March, SOFE new energy automated workover operation equipment won the only exhibit innovation gold award at the 24th CIPPE.

Efficient and green workover operation is an important link to ensure the normal operation of oil and gas fields and maintain national energy security. Since then, SOFE has been taking the responsibility and mission of "intelligent manufacture of great power tools and service for energy security" as its mission, setting up an interdisciplinary R&D team in the direction of high-end, intelligent, green and service-oriented, and endeavouring to achieve the iterative upgrading of workover equipment.
The road of research and development is full of difficulties. How to design reasonable lightweight parts of mechanical structure to adapt to installation space and load constraints and harsh operating environments, how to ensure the durability and reliability of equipment under high pressure and high temperature conditions, and how to achieve the convenience and operational safety of human-machine interaction. Around these needs, the R & D team comprehensively identifies key factors, establishes a special test platform, simulates the actual operating environment for repeated verification, and continuously optimizes the mechanical design.
Adapted to different regions, SOFE has overcome key core technologies such as new energy energy management and automatic handling of control workover string and development and integration of high-efficiency workover equipment components for whole-process control, and innovatively developed seven series of new energy automated workover equipment in four major categories, including oil-electric dual-drive workover rig, grid-electricity workover rig, grid storage workover rig, and full-electric drive, and has been widely used in major oilfields in China and more than 30 countries and regions, some of which are "world's first".
In 2022, SOFE also launched the world's first full-electric drive SXJ900E automatic workover operation equipment, chassis driving and workover operations to achieve full electric, zero pollution and zero emissions during operation, the equipment has been successfully applied in Jianghan Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield.
The promotion and application effect of new energy automatic workover equipment is obvious, establishing the international leading position of domestic well workover equipment technology, helping the sustainable stable production efficiency of oil and gas fields to improve green development, and providing strong support for safeguarding national energy security.
