The result of the 2023 "Green Enterprise" review by SINOPEC was recently released. SOFE won the "A" rating for the green enterprise evaluation, further polishing its “name card” for greening.

SOFE puts into practice the vision of ecological civilization. In implementing SINOPEC’s green and clean development strategy, SOFE has fulfilled the "Green enterprise action plan" with high quality.

SOFE carries out environmental monitoring strictly, and ensures that waste water and waste gas meets the required standards before discharge, and noise is controlled effectively to meet the requirements. SOFE implements SINOPEC’s green grass-roots plan, and all its grass-roots entities have gone green. All SOFE’s affiliates have further improved their efficiency in resource and energy utilization. SJ Petroleum Machinery Company was recognized as national-level green factory in 2023; Kingdream Public Limited Company obtained the third-party certificate of "Green Factory" by Jin Qian Certification Company; Compressor Company finished the construction of photovoltaic power and put it into operation, which generated 1.1035 million kilowatt hours of green electricity annually. SOFE has implemented clean production and three of its affiliates - SJ Petroleum Machinery Company, Shashi Steel Pipe Works and SJS Ltd. - have passed the clean production audit by Jinzhou Ecology and Environment Bureau.

SOFE will continue to strengthen energy and environment management, implement pollution prevention and take an active part in the action to peak carbon dioxide emissions, further improve the company’s energy mix and promote green development; carry out a series of activities such as Energy Conservation Week, National Low Carbon Day, World Environment Day, and Open House event etc. to enhance employees' awareness of energy conservation and environment protection, and make contributions to promoting SINOPEC’s green and high-quality development.
