SOFE won "Excellence Award" in National Machinery Design and Innovation Competition

On December 29th, the "Natural Gas Compressor Cylinder FMS Intelligent Production Line" project of Sinopec Oilfield Equipment Corporation won the "Excellent Award" at the 3rd National Machinery Industry Design Innovation Competition in 2023.

There are various types of compressors, which are key equipment used in natural gas boosting and extraction, gas lifting and liquid discharge, centralized processing and transportation, gas injection and refueling, and various utilization fields. The cylinder is one of the core components of a natural gas compressor.

The FMS intelligent production line for natural gas compressor cylinders is an important part of the intelligent upgrading and renovation project for SOFE oil and gas field booster recovery compressor production lines. It upgrades and transforms traditional production and manufacturing processes, introducing automated intelligent equipment, and achieving efficient and transparent digital manufacturing. By adopting highly integrated horizontal milling and compound machining centers, horizontal boring and milling machining centers, horizontal machining centers, intelligent RGV stackers, cleaning robots, automatic flippers, online detection systems, etc., the automatic loading and unloading of cylinders, process cleaning, adjustment of cylinder posture between processes, and automatic detection of machining processes can be achieved, which can meet the intelligent processing of multi specification cylinders. After the completion of the production line, the number of operators will be reduced from 11 to 3, the overall number of cylinder processing cycles will be reduced by 8 times, the processing time for large cylinders will be reduced by 5 hours, the processing time for small cylinders will be reduced by 9 hours, and the average auxiliary time will be reduced by 2.5 hours, significantly improving the overall efficiency of cylinder processing.
