Since May, SOFE has successfully won the bidding of the compressor project of Zhongyuan Gas Storage Group in terms of the competitive advantages of the gas storage compressor, and its high-pressure and large-power gas storage compressor will be promoted to the next market.

Gas injection and production integrated reciprocating compressor unit is the core equipment of gas storage construction. SOFE as natural gas compressor core suppliers, has independently researched and developed high-pressure and large-power compressors with huge handling capacity, focusing on gas storage design inlet pressure and displacement, discharge  pressure and temperature, in the service of Zhongyuan Wen 96 gas storage, Wen 23 gas storage and jianghan salt cavity gas storage.

Zhongyuan Wen 96 gas storage, SOFE’s gas storage compressors have been smoothly operating for whole seven (7) entire cycles, to achieve large displacement gas injection and gas recovery.

In the case of Zhongyuan Wen 23 gas storage, the largest gas storage in central China, among the 14 compressors that have been put into operation in total, SOFE has provided 2 compressors for the pilot project and 5 compressors for the first phase project. The operation and service guarantee of the compressors are better than those of other manufacturers, successfully withstanding the market approval. The expert appraisal statement that the compressor of the SOFE gas storage is superior to the imported units in the same station in terms of process adaptability, vibration index and thousand-hour failure rate after the industrial application of the compressor in the Wen23 gas storage and the completion of two gas injection operation cycles, and has obtained good economic and social benefits. The overall technology of the compressor has been in line with the international advanced level. They are taking leading role worldwide in the vibration control technology of the compressor unit and the lubrication technology of the large pressure differential for air cylinder.
