​On January 18, the SLG450 coiled tubing unit from SOFE successfully completed the first induced injection production operation in the Udlia block of Saudi Arabia, which obtained the user's satisfaction.

Facing high temperature and sandy environment, as well as the special requirement on well control equipment, SOFE established a project team, organizing technical experts, QA/QC dept., purchasing dept., production dept., etc to make research and learn standards and regulations regarding with CTU operation, and then formulated 36 technical solutions to meet the special requirements of Saudi equipment. 

In spite of COVID-19 pandemic and jet lag, SOFE organized remote technical service by means of video call as soon as the CTU arrived in the field of Saudi Arabia to provide all-round technical support and instruct customer in commissioning of the 3 units. All units successfully passed the acceptance inspection by Saudi Aramco.

The key components such as injector, tubing reel, control system of the SLG450 CTU are designed and built by SOFE independently and running smoothly and stably.
